Many of us have been busy updating our homes over the last eighteen months, and what better place to start than a bathroom? It's often a space we use to unwind, which has never been more important. Here are some tips to keep in mind while beginning your bathroom remodel:
Does the layout make sense? Should you expand your shower or move the toilet? Moving walls and plumbing can be difficult, but the benefits are endless if it creates a much more efficient and beautiful space.
Always, always, always get samples of each tile and finish you plan to use. I cannot stress this enough. Seeing the finishes in person and together will help you avoid any mistakes of purchasing material you don't like (it's hard to see the true nature of a tile on a website).
Make sure you have the design locked in, tile purchased and on-site, and any city/county permits necessary prior to starting your project. This will ensure your project completes in a timely matter.
This bath serves both guests and the teenagers that live in this mid-century ranch style home in Northern California. We blended a bold blue/green stacked subway tile accent wall with the warm wood tones of the vanity, with classic Carrara marble laid in a modern pattern. These finishes give a vibrant yet warm and classic feel all all the same time, while staying true to mid-century design.
This design is sure to keep the family and guests happy for years to come.
